Food Service Area: Snack or Lunch Time
Child-sized seating and table service areas
allow children to enjoy family-style service at
snacks and lunches. Cooking activities also take
place. Children build nutrition
concepts during cooking projects. Child make foods
such as quick breads, muffins and granola several
times each week.



A partition to the meal preparation area allows
children to watch staff and converse with them as
they prepare food. Flooring is easily washed in
this "high spill" area.
